Proper Bibliographic Reference Format:

  • Bibliographic references are double-spaced and indented half an inch after the first line.
  • Wikipedia articles often update frequently. For this reason, the date refers to the date that the cited version of the page was published.
  • Use this format to cite any wiki page
  • When citing Wikipedia, cite an archived version of a Wikipedia page so that readers can retrieve the version you used.
  • Access the archived version on Wikipedia by selecting “View history” and then the time and date of the version you used.

In-Text Citations:

Citations are placed in the context of discussion using the author’s last name (in this case, screen name) and date of publication.

(“Oil Painting,” 2019)

Alternatively, you can integrate the citation into the sentence by means of narrative.

“Oil Painting” (2019) calls for investigation into fumes from new cellphones as a possible link.
