Citation Elements in Order:  
1.  Author
2.  Publication date
3.  Article title
4.  Journal title
5.  Volume & issue number
6.  Page numbers
7.  Digital object identifier (DOI)

 

Reference Example:

Author, A. A., Author, B. B., & Author, C. C. (Year). Title of article. Title of Periodical, volume number(issue number), pages.

Proper Bibliographic Reference Format:

  • Bibliographic references are double-spaced and indented half an inch after the first line.
  • When a DOI is used, no further retrieval information is needed locate the content. Do not include the database name.
  • The DOI should be a hyperlink. i.e.: https://doi.org/10.1080/00043079.2019.1638674
  • It is no longer necessary to include the date of retrieval unless the source material may change over time (e.g., Wikis).

 

In-Text Citations:

Citations are placed in the context of discussion using the authors' last names and date of publication.

Alternatively, you can integrate the citation into the sentence by means of narrative.
