Is your article Open Access?

Check Open Policy Finder
- See link below
- Search for the journal title or ISSN
- Sherpa Romeo will tell you which version you can post to an Institutional Repository
- Submit the appropriate version
- If you cannot find the journal on Open Policy Finder...
Check the Publisher Website
- Usually there's a page called "Self-archiving," "Green Open Access," or "Post-publication Policies" that specify which version of your paper you can post to an Institutional Repository
- Refer to the list of Self-archiving pages on this guide
- If the self-archiving policies cannot be found on the publisher website...
Refer to your Copyright Transfer Agreement
- This is the document you sign when you publish a paper.
- It may specify which version you can post online and/or to an Institutional Repository

Email the Publisher
- Ask the publisher or copyright owner of your article for permission to post your paper on our Institutional Repository. Make sure to ask
