iThenticate

A Guide for AUS Faculty and Graduate Students

Before Submitting

  • iThenticate is available to current AUS faculty and graduate students.
  • Submissions are managed by the AUS Library and may be subject to quotas.
  • Only complete manuscripts are accepted, and all authors should agree to the submission.
  • The person making the request should be the author or co-author of the manuscript.
  • If a co-author is not affiliated with AUS, you may share the report with them by email.
  • Submit the final version of your document, as some publishers use iThenticate to screen submissions.
  • Requests submitted that do not meet these guidelines may be considered on a case-by-case basis. We may run them depending on quota availability.

File types accepted:

  • MS Word (doc, docx), RTF, TXT, XML, HTML, PDF, PostScript, and WordPerfect (wpd)
  • Note: Images of documents or non-text files will be rejected, and files must not be encrypted or read-only.

File Specifications:

  • Minimum 20 words of text; maximum 800 pages (100MB)
  • Zip files can be uploaded, but must only include supported file formats and cannot exceed 200MB or 1000 files.

To Request a Submission

To request a submission:

  1. Forward completed manuscript to your Liaison Librarian or directly to libsystems@aus.edu.
  2. Include bibliographic details (document title, author names).
  3. The Library will upload your document to iThenticate and send a PDF report back to you within two working days.
