Proquest Flow

Flow is a new way to collect, manage and organize research papers and documents. You can read annotate, organize, and cite your research as well as collaborate with friends and colleagues by sharing collections.

Create an Account

AUS library users can have a free Flow account with up to 2 GB of document storage, unlimited references and the ability to share with up to 10 collaborators per collection.

To create a Flow account:

  1. Open and click the “Sign Up” link.
  2. Fill in your information making sure to use your institutional email address (you can’t sign up with,, etc.).  Using your institutional email address will help Proquest know whether you are entitled to an institutional account (with all the benefits mentioned above!) or if you are a free Flow user.

Once you activate your account (you'll receive an email with a link to complete the registration process), you’ll get access immediately and can get started managing your documents.

Save to Flow Button

Flow has an easy to use tool that installs in any web browser called the “Save to Flow” button.  The Save to Flow button grabs information from any web page – in some cases a complete article – and adds it to your Flow library.

To add the Save to Flow button to your browser:

  1. Login to Flow, click on your name in the upper right-hand corner
  2. Select the Tools menu.
  3. Drag the Save to Flow button to your browser.
  4. Once you’ve installed it, go to any web page and click the Save to Flow button to capture the information.

You can save a set of search results or an individual article and you can easily edit metadata prior to importing into Flow.
